Keady & District Angling Club are holding a junior All Ireland qualifier today. First time to get our juniors out as a result of the warm summer. Hopefully have a few pictures to share later.

Seven juniors anglers attended the junior qualifier today with four catching. Results are as follows:

U-13 winner was Gemma Fisher with two pike for 2lb
Second was Clíodhna McKenna with one pike for 14oz

U-8 winner was Niamh McKenna with one pike for 2lb 13oz
Second was Naoise McKenna with one fish for 1lb 12oz

We've a club event next Sunday so any of our juniors that couldn't make today can come along to try & qualify for the final.

We're holding a junior qualifier tomorrow alongside our club event. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout of junior anglers from Keady who didn't qualify last week. Results & photos will be posted tomorrow evening.

Great event today. The fish were all very small but that didn't matter to the juniors that came along as they all caught & made it through to the All Ireland final next weekend. It was also great to meet up with Brendan O'Reilly who came along as well.

The results were as follows:

U-8 winner Jason McKenna Stoops with a pike at 1lb 6oz; 2nd Faye McKee with a 1lb 2oz pike & 3rd Amy McKee with a 1lb pike .

U-13 winner was Paul Óg Sherry with 14oz fish.

U-18 winner was Jake Fisher with a 15oz pike & 2nd was Pádraig McKenna
