The Angling Council of Ireland had seperate meetings scheduled today with Fine Gael`s and Labour`s inland fisheries spokesmen to discuss their future plans for the Inland Fisheries Resource. These meetings were arranged a couple of weeks ago. With the calling of the General Election yesterday both parties contacted us to defer the meetings. The deferred meetings will be held shortly. After these meetings we should be able to post each partys plans. No meetings are planned with Fianna Fail or Greens as their track record is there to be seen - no reserved angler seats on the Board of IFI.
