A couple of days ago 2 Polish poachers were caught by a Garda on the barrow at Carlow. Bags full of roach were found and taken along with 5 or 6 rods.Details are on the homepage of the Polish anglers website www.fishmaniak.pl
The website did have snaps of the 2 anglers and their catch. I advised them to remove the snaps until after the pair are convicted in court. This they have done. There is still a full report on the incident which is fine.
In the postings on the website the pair come in for considerable critism for bring other law abiding Polish anglers into disrepute. Well done foshmaniak !!
The website is in Polish. It you have a Google toolbar you can get it to translate the page.

Hi Dougie, I was down in your county most of last week. I stayed with the brother in law in Ballincollig. I must bring the fishing gear with me next time.

True Dougie this was a good result,People should have no fear of these type of criminals, they dont have to approach them ,just report them and keep an eye on them untill bailiffs appear and then when the proper authorities arrive they can give their evidence to help in the prosecution of these filthy animals that continue to rape our waters. Thanks to the vigelence of everybody involved we are starting to combat this crime that they know is wrong no matter what language barrier there is,there is a fisheries board sign in every language to explain that there is a NO KILL policy in every county.....NOW COP ON YOU FORIGIEN WANK&&S AND LEAVE OUR FISH STOCKS TO REGENERATE THEMSELVES......NO HESITATION IN GIVING THESE PEOPLE A FIELD LESSON IN WHAT I MEAN ABOUT FUC&OFF AND BEHAVE YOURSELF.........

Well done to the lads who went out and caught them.It is such a shame to see so many fine fish killed by fools who pick up a few rods and destroy good fishing waters.
