It seems half the pike anglers in the country were on the Suck yesterday. Fishing seemed to be very slow with many of the opinion that pike were only interested in preparing to spawn. It seems that at least 5 or 6 club outings were being held on the river along with numerous groups of other pikers

Yes John, the newbridge club was out yesterday fishing was slow, thought we would have caught more fish, 2 of the lads lost nice doubles we had 2 11lbers and 1 lad unhooked a fish around 16lb to close to the river edge and he fell back in Embarassed Embarassed the boys on the opposite bank had a right Laughing Laughing .

I hear that the Suck is very high at the moment so maybe dont waste a journey
