Hi all, This my 1st post on the site.
I have visited the site most weeks, & find it very good.
Boyle & District Angling Club will post up details of all our fixtures here, & would welcome all anglers to enjoy a day out with us. As we are mostly a boat fishing club we will try & organize a seat on a boat for anyone interested. This year we also hope to have 2 bank competitions as well during June or July. Our Big Easter competition is full steam ahead with prizes maintained to last year. Which is due to hard work of the club members during the year. More details on this competition soon.

Our next outing is on the 20th March on Lough Skeen. Fishing 11am to 4pm (5pm if weather is good). Lough Skeen is located on the main boyle to ballyfarnon road & is a great lake for pike up to 20pd+.

On the 3rd April we will be fishing for the Paddy Sharkey Perpetual Memorial Cup. This will be fished on Lough Gara & is always a very well attended event.
Entries taken at Templeronan Pier from 10 am.
For further details contact Jane on 0868301261 or Myles 086 8191667.

Thanks for reading.

Lough Skeen is down as a boat competition as its very hard to fish around the shore. The lake is only 3-4 ft deep most of the way around for about 100m out from the shore. The underfoot conditions are very swampy also along most of the bank. There is a small island in the middle of the lake with 2 good holes just off it, most of the winners are caught near by.

Think this venue was on the possible list for the Final last month.
